Bahnmiller Construction erected the Maintenance and Operations
Facility for Sound Transit in Seattle, Washington. We worked as part of
the design build team with FORMA Construction Company to create a
custom sheet metal design not typically supplied by Pre-Engineered
Metal Building (PEMB) manufactures. In addition we worked with the
envelope to achieve a blower door test with a very low tested leakage
of 0.118 cfm/sf.
This new two-building facility supports 35+ vehicles and 80+ personnel
for the Tack, Facilities and Power Departments of light rail operations.
The facility also includes administrative offices of the MOW and Police
staff, fabrication area, parts storage, training rooms and locker rooms.
Bahnmiller Construction is proud to have partnered with Sound Transit
and FORMA Construction Company on this project.
